What You Will Do:

As a Sales Specialist in Appliances, you will be one of the first people customers meet. You’ll use your sales expertise to help customers find the right appliances to meet their needs and encourage them to complete their home improvement projects. Your role involves:

• Providing expert product knowledge and recommendations on appliances, including features, benefits, and available promotions.
• Delivering outstanding SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and offering solutions.
• Assisting customers with project planning and closing sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handling customer inquiries via phone or in person and managing product orders, deliveries, and installation scheduling.
• Supporting inventory management by monitoring stock levels and coordinating with vendors or other stores to replenish products.
• Training and mentoring new or less experienced associates within the Appliances department.
• Collaborating with other departments and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-stocked sales floor.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or retail (6 months of Lowe’s retail experience may substitute).
• Ability to meet sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to obtain any sales-related licenses or registrations as required by law.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in appliance sales or a related product category.
• Experience promoting product-related services such as installation, delivery, and extended protection plans.
• Familiarity with store systems and technology used for sales and order processing.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Previous experience training or coaching team members.

Working Conditions:

• Role requires standing, walking, and moving throughout the store or garden center.
• Exposure to inside and outside weather conditions depending on store layout.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise according to company guidelines.
