Role and Responsibilities
As a Cart Collection Specialist at Lowe’s, you’ll be instrumental in creating a clean, organized, and customer-friendly store experience. Your primary responsibilities will include retrieving carts, assisting customers with loading merchandise, and ensuring the outdoor and indoor areas of the store remain safe and tidy.
Cart Management: Retrieve and organize shopping carts from the parking areas and store interiors, ensuring availability and convenience for shoppers.
Merchandise Loading: Safely assist customers in loading bulky or heavy items into their vehicles, providing courteous and hands-on service.
Customer Engagement: Offer a warm welcome to customers, respond to inquiries, and help them navigate the store as needed.
Store Cleanliness: Keep entrances and cart storage areas clean and clear of clutter or debris.
Inventory Support: Assist in restocking shelves or floor areas when required to support store operations.
Required Skills and Experience
At least 6 months of experience in retail, customer service, or similar roles.
Basic familiarity with store equipment such as handheld devices or point-of-sale technology.
Physically capable of lifting 25 lbs. independently and up to 50 lbs. with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a warehouse, retail environment, or similar physical labor roles.
Experience handling shopping carts, assisting customers, or restocking merchandise.
Background in materials handling or general store operations.
Compensation and Benefits
This position may be full-time (typically 39–40 hours/week) or part-time (up to 25 hours/week), depending on the needs of the store. Availability across different shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, is required. Eligible associates may receive:
