Role and Responsibilities
As a Delivery Fulfillment Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by managing the efficient and accurate preparation of online and in-store pickup orders. This position includes responsibilities such as:
Delivering friendly and helpful service to customers and fellow team members.
Picking, organizing, and preparing items in line with order specifications.
Inspecting merchandise for damage and verifying order accuracy.
Carefully loading merchandise—including large or heavy items—into customer vehicles or delivery trucks.
Replenishing shelves to maintain inventory levels and store readiness.
Working with delivery and installation teams to confirm order information.
Operating power equipment responsibly and in accordance with company safety procedures.
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to inventory control guidelines.
Travel Requirements
Travel is not typically required for this role but may be necessary on occasion for training or team meetings.
Required Skills and Experience
Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and performing arithmetic.
A minimum of 6 months of experience working with computers for data entry or record keeping.
Familiarity with mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones for task completion.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds on your own (heavier items may require support).
Physical ability to engage in prolonged standing, bending, and lifting.
Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Eligibility for any licenses or registrations as required by local or state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
6 months of retail experience, ideally in a home improvement or hardware store.
Prior work in customer service or order fulfillment environments.
Experience with loading, unloading, or transporting products.
Certified operation of powered equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification for Pro Department roles must be obtained within 30 days).
