Role and Responsibilities:
As a Front End Supervisor at Lowe’s, you will oversee front-end operations to ensure a seamless checkout process, maintaining both safety and efficiency in the store. You will set a strong example in customer service, manage cashier lanes and self-checkout stations, and mentor associates to achieve performance goals.
Supervise and assist customers across multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
Greet customers proactively, provide assistance, and suggest relevant products and services.
Guide and support CSA Front End associates with training, performance, and register operations.
Help customers find, demonstrate, and load products.
Address questions and resolve concerns from customers and associates effectively.
Handle transactions, returns, refunds, and manage register functions.
Open additional registers and support line management to enhance checkout flow.
Inspect returned items, prepare online orders, and verify loading tickets.
Conduct safety inspections and maintain store cleanliness and organization.
Identify potential theft or shoplifting and report incidents to management or Asset Protection.
Ensure cash drawer accuracy, monitor security alarms, and operate equipment such as Zebra phones, paging systems, and paint mixers.
Assist with stock replenishment and track store-used items.
Support daily store operations and perform other assigned duties as needed.
Note: Some duties may be restricted for minors.
Required Skills and Experience:
1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience.
Less than 1 year experience with computers and retail technology (e.g., smartphones, tablets).
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, with or without accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 to 2 years experience in sales and product recommendations (such as credit cards, warranties, or installations).
1 to 2 years experience as a Head Cashier or in other roles within Lowe’s stores.
1 to 2 years supervisory experience including coaching and performance evaluation.
Knowledge of shoplifting detection and loss prevention procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Capability to handle merchandise and operate retail equipment.
