Compensation
Base Pay Range: $101,300.00 – $168,900.00
(Compensation may vary depending on experience, skills, and location.)

Position Summary
As a Security Architect within the Information Security team, you will design and implement security frameworks that integrate seamlessly with Grainger’s infrastructure and security operations. This role will collaborate closely with the Security Operations Center and influence architectural decisions across infrastructure and security domains.
Responsibilities
Plan, research, and develop infrastructure and cyber security architecture
Define security roadmaps aligning with company technology goals
Create conceptual and logical architectural designs
Collaborate with teams to gather requirements, perform trade-off analysis, and recommend solutions
Conduct penetration testing, threat modeling, and whiteboard exercises
Evaluate tools and technologies via Proof of Value (PoV) exercises
Advise product teams on security implications of roadmaps
Qualifications
10+ years in IT with 5+ years in architecture and 3+ years in information security
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience
CISSP or other security/product certifications
Cloud security knowledge (AWS, Azure, M365)
Experience with industry-standard security frameworks
Proficiency in SIEM, SOAR, and incident response
