What You Will Do:

As a Sales Specialist, Millwork, you serve as the subject-matter expert for all things related to doors, windows, moulding, and related products. You’ll help customers complete their projects by guiding them through product selection, customization, and installation options. Your expertise ensures customers receive solutions that meet their functional needs, style preferences, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide SMART customer service by engaging with customers, assessing their project needs, and recommending suitable millwork solutions.
• Deliver in-depth product knowledge regarding windows, interior and exterior doors, trim, and special order/custom millwork products.
• Create and manage customer project quotes, orders, and installation schedules.
• Communicate effectively with installers, vendors, and customers to ensure timely project execution.
• Stay informed about current promotions, product features, trends, and installation services.
• Maintain millwork displays, ensure planogram compliance, and manage stock levels.
• Train and support other associates on millwork product knowledge and customer engagement techniques.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of experience at Lowe’s.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build rapport with customers and provide tailored solutions.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use point-of-sale systems.
• Physical ability to move throughout the store and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with custom and special-order millwork products.
• Prior experience in home improvement, construction, or millwork sales.
• Familiarity with Lowe’s systems such as M2O or Genesis.
• 1+ year in a key-carrying or leadership role.
• Bilingual language skills (preferred but not required).

Working Conditions:

• Requires availability for a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to both indoor and outdoor conditions may occur.
• Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and engaging with customers on the sales floor.
