Role and Responsibilities

As a Front End Cashier at Lowe’s, you’ll be the welcoming face at checkout, ensuring customers leave with a great final impression. While your primary focus will be at the front end, you may also lend a hand in other areas to help maintain smooth store operations.

• Deliver fast, accurate, and courteous checkout service

• Assist shoppers at self-checkout kiosks when needed

• Properly scan, bag, and manage merchandise

• Handle payments, returns, and exchanges at the register

• Answer questions and offer support to customers

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe checkout area

• Carry out other tasks as directed by store leadership

Required Skills and Experience

• Ability to perform basic math, read, and write effectively

• Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods

• Familiar with computer systems and data entry

• Physically able to lift at least 10 lbs alone or 15+ lbs with or without accommodation

• Willing to obtain any licenses or certifications required by your state for retail transactions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service

• Multilingual communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

Pay rates depend on various factors including job type, location, qualifications, and prior experience. This is typically a full-time role based on a 40-hour work week.
