Role and Responsibilities
As a Front End Cashier at Lowe’s, you’ll be the welcoming face at checkout, ensuring customers leave with a great final impression. While your primary focus will be at the front end, you may also lend a hand in other areas to help maintain smooth store operations.
Deliver fast, accurate, and courteous checkout service
Assist shoppers at self-checkout kiosks when needed
Properly scan, bag, and manage merchandise
Handle payments, returns, and exchanges at the register
Answer questions and offer support to customers
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe checkout area
Carry out other tasks as directed by store leadership
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to perform basic math, read, and write effectively
Comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods
Familiar with computer systems and data entry
Physically able to lift at least 10 lbs alone or 15+ lbs with or without accommodation
Willing to obtain any licenses or certifications required by your state for retail transactions
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in retail or customer service
Multilingual communication skills
