In the role of a Front Desk Staff with Planet Fitness, you are entrusted with the pivotal task of cultivating a warm and inviting setting for members, particularly during the evening period. Your core job encompasses delivering exceptional customer care, ensuring operational efficiency as the facility draws to a close. Key responsibilities involve overseeing member registrations, responding to queries, upholding cleanliness standards, and finalizing end-of-day procedures, notably the preparation of a bank deposit.

Key Responsibilities

• Show a warm and inviting reception to both existing members, those interested in joining, and any newcomers.
• Deliver high-quality customer service by helping individuals with account inquiries, resolving any problems, and offering necessary support.

Handle all front desk tasks, including:

• Answering phones
• Processing member check-ins
• Registering new members
• Leading tours around the club
• Revising member account information

• Contribute to the tidiness and systematic arrangement within the club through assisting with light cleaning responsibilities and notifying the appropriate personnel of any maintenance problems.
• Conclude the day's transactions by reconciling the register and organizing the bank deposit for daily closure.
• Comply with the club's regulations and protocols in order to maintain a safe, tidy, and non-judgmental setting.
• Engage in teamwork with coworkers and supervisors to preserve the brand and ethos of Planet Fitness.

Qualifications

• Attainment of a high school diploma or its GED counterpart is mandatory for eligibility
• The minimum age requirement is set at 18 years
• Past experience in customer support is advantageous
• Strong communication and adept at finding solutions are crucial abilities in any situation
• Approachable, dynamic, and trustworthy
• Core computer capabilities involve familiarity with applications such as Microsoft Office and systems for monitoring the check-in status of members
• Capable of working autonomously into the night
• Always on time, trustworthy, and conducting oneself with professionalism consistently
• Devoted to wellness, exercise, and aiding others in their journeys

Physical Requirements

• The individual must have the ability to be on their feet and move around for an extended time while on duty
• Consistent conversing via phone calls and personal meetings
• Can lift items up to 50 pounds from time to time
• Potential exposure to cleaning products and chemicals
• Available for evening and night shifts, and willing to work on weekends and holidays when required
