We are currently seeking licensed Home Improvement Delivery Driver to represent Lowe’s with professionalism and dependability in every customer interaction.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Home Improvement Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting merchandise to customer locations while upholding high standards of service and compliance. You will work closely with customers and team members to ensure deliveries are efficient, accurate, and safe.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting with unloading items, reviewing product usage, and answering questions during deliveries.
Coordinate delivery status with customers and team members to stay on schedule.
Plan routes, pull and stage merchandise, build delivery loads, and properly secure cargo according to DOT standards.
Inspect items before and after delivery to confirm product accuracy and condition.
Deliver, install, and test appliances or products when needed to ensure proper functioning.
Maintain the cleanliness and operational safety of the delivery vehicle in compliance with CDL and DOT rules.
Use mobile tools and company systems to track delivery progress and update status.
Be alert to potential security risks or suspicious activity and promptly notify management or Loss Prevention.
Keep work areas clean and safe by following established safety and housekeeping procedures.
Operate store equipment such as Zebra handhelds, forklifts, panel saws, and key cutters as required.
Perform additional store-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Class A CDL (for multi-unit commercial vehicles like tractor-trailers or flatbeds) – location dependent.
Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (for single-unit commercial vehicles) – location dependent.
Possess or be able to obtain a valid medical examiner's certificate.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and follow all DOT/CDL regulations.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math.
Must be eligible to obtain applicable sales-related licenses or registrations if required by law.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of experience operating a semi-truck/trailer, or graduation from an accredited truck driving school.
6 months of experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service roles.
3 months of experience using a forklift or Moffett for loading/unloading.
