As a Warehouse Operations Specialist in the Receiving department, you will be instrumental in ensuring safe and efficient handling of products, supporting seamless warehouse operations, and maintaining product quality standards.
Role and Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently managing tasks such as receiving, picking, pulling, labeling, and stocking purchase orders within set deadlines. You will operate powered equipment and assist with various warehouse duties to help meet operational objectives.
Operate power equipment (e.g., forklift) to unload deliveries and organize incoming inventory
Receive purchase orders, check for damages, and verify items against invoices or packing slips
Retrieve products from warehouse shelves according to item specifications like number, size, color, and quantity
Pack and prepare completed purchase orders for shipment
Confirm the accuracy of picked items before staging for delivery
Consistently meet or surpass performance goals by completing tasks effectively and efficiently
Assist with other warehouse activities including picking, labeling, shipping, and delivery support as needed
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification
1-2 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center operations
Physical ability to move continuously, lift up to 40 pounds, and safely operate power equipment
Strong commitment to safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment
Ability to work under varying environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures and noisy environments
Strong safety mindset and capability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or yard trucks
Proven aptitude for detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced setting
Skilled in spatial reasoning to optimize product placement efficiently
