Role and Responsibilities

As a Store Cashier at Lowe’s, you’ll ensure customers leave with a great final impression by delivering prompt, helpful, and efficient checkout service. While your main focus is operating the cash register, you’ll also support other store functions when needed.

• Provide quick, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences

• Assist customers with self-checkout when necessary

• Efficiently scan and bag merchandise

• Process payments, returns, and exchanges at the point of sale

• Address customer questions and offer guidance

• Keep the checkout area clean, safe, and well-organized

• Take on additional duties as directed by management

Required Skills and Experience

• Basic math, reading, and writing abilities

• Ability to stand or sit for long periods

• Familiarity with using computers and entering information

• Physically able to lift at least 10 lbs independently and 15+ lbs with or without accommodation

• Willingness to obtain any required certifications or licenses as per local regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or a customer-facing role

• Multilingual communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is determined by factors such as role responsibilities, geographic location, education, and experience. This position typically follows a 40-hour workweek.
