Role and Responsibilities
As a Material Handler, you play a vital part in ensuring smooth store operations by accurately receiving, organizing, and stocking products. Your focus on safety and detail helps create a well-maintained and easy-to-navigate shopping environment.
Receive, sort, and restock merchandise accurately and efficiently
Follow proper safety guidelines for lifting and handling inventory
Maintain clean and safe aisles accessible to customers
Communicate respectfully with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
Report any safety or security issues promptly
Keep work areas orderly and clean
Perform additional duties as needed to support the store’s operations
Minimum Qualifications
Basic reading, writing, and math skills (including addition and subtraction)
Strong verbal communication and listening skills
Comfortable using smartphones and retail technology
Ability to stand, walk, or remain in one place for long periods
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently; assistance available for heavier items
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating forklifts or other powered machinery
Previous background in warehouse, stocking, or inventory management

Travel Requirements
This position typically does not require regular travel, but occasional travel for training or store support may be necessary.
Working Conditions
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, sometimes with exposure to noise and machinery. Lifting is generally limited to 75 pounds per person, with team lifts used as needed. Training is required for operating powered equipment.
