Role and Responsibilities:

As a Fulfillment Associate, you play a key role in ensuring customers receive the products they need, when they need them. You will assist in the accurate and timely picking, inspecting, and loading of merchandise for delivery or customer pick-up, while providing friendly and professional customer service. Your responsibilities include:

• Engaging with customers and associates in a helpful and professional manner.
• Pulling, preparing, and inspecting merchandise for delivery or pickup based on invoices and orders.
• Ensuring merchandise is in good condition, properly accounted for, and ready on time for delivery or pickup.
• Loading merchandise into customer vehicles and delivery trucks safely, including large appliances and heavy items.
• Replenishing shelves to ensure product availability for the next customer.
• Collaborating with delivery teams and Installation PROviders to ensure order accuracy.
• Following all safety protocols while operating power equipment and moving merchandise.
• Ensuring cleanliness and safety of work areas and maintaining accurate inventory practices.

Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel but may include occasional trips for meetings or training.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math (addition and subtraction).
• 6 months of experience using a computer, including data entry and accessing/modifying records.
• 6 months of experience using retail technologies such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted (may be required to lift more with assistance).
• Physical ability to perform standing, sitting, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
• Availability to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months of retail experience, preferably in a home improvement or hardware store.
• 6 months of customer service or order fulfillment experience.
• 6 months of experience loading, unloading, or transporting materials or merchandise.
• Power Equipment Certification (for Pro Department associates): forklifts, pallet jacks, and electrical lifts—must be certified within 30 days of assignment.
