About the Role:

We are on the lookout for a Gym Operations Supervisor to join us! The General Manager will be in charge of overseeing all gym operations and ensuring that members have top-notch experiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Successfully direct, oversee, liaise with, cultivate, and instruct the staff encompassing Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, Overnight Front Desk Associates, Cleaners, and Trainers
• Handle all club-related problems involving staff and members with care and efficiency, offering remedial strategies to tackle the issues in a proactive manner
• Develop and sustain a space that promotes understanding and compassion rather than harsh judgment
• Boost the presence of Planet Fitness in local communities through targeted marketing strategies and partnerships
• Ensure that deposits are made on time and without errors each day
• Oversee the conformance with company policies and protocols
• Manage the performance and competency of the workforce
• Administer inventory to secure the timely procurement and presence of supplies
• Construct and supervise employee schedules in conjunction with managing payroll funds
• Conduct self-inspections
• Meet the necessary PF/PFU course requirements and participate in ongoing training opportunities
• Foster healthy dialogue and successful collaboration within the team
• Motivating and supporting staff through feedback to improve overall work performance
• Stay abreast of the latest developments and conform to the standards and rules of the company

Qualifications:

• Competence in multitasking and handling multiple roles
• A strong commitment to work along with effective decision-making capabilities can lead to successful outcomes
• Self-motivated and able to excel with minimal supervision
• Foundational abilities in using computers, understanding mathematical principles, and communicating effectively
• Excellent supervisory skills
• Certification in CPR/AED, including the provision of training if necessary, is provided
• A person must be 18 years old or above to qualify
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Purpose-driven, eager, and full of vigor
• Flexibility to travel to other clubs if needed
• Superb customer care expertise
• Reliable, punctual, and sincere
• Skilled in empathetic listening and displaying compassion
• Exhibit sensitivity and discretion in your interactions
• Required: At least two years of supervisory or managerial experience in a high-demand environment

Physical Demands:

• Being on one's feet and in motion for the duration of shifts
• Continuous dialogue either in person or via telephone throughout scheduled work periods
• Can lift and transport loads of up to 60 pounds

Pay range: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per annum
