Role and Responsibilities:
As a Sales Associate in Appliances at Lowe’s, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their appliance needs.
- Greet customers and assist with appliance needs by providing expert advice on product features, benefits, and installation options.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of appliance products including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and more.
- Stay updated on new products and technologies to provide customers with the latest information.
- Achieve individual and department sales targets through upselling and cross-selling.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, stocking, and organizing appliances on the sales floor.
- Provide detailed product demonstrations and guide customers on installation, delivery, and warranty options.
- Ensure the department is clean, organized, and visually appealing for customers and employees.
- Process customer transactions accurately including special orders, returns, and exchanges.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet store goals and customer needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or related degree is a plus.
- Previous retail sales experience, particularly in appliances or home improvement, preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to engage with customers and understand their needs.
- Good problem-solving skills when handling inquiries or complaints.
- Comfortable working with large appliances and understanding their features and specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with retail systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous appliance product knowledge or experience.
- Retail or customer service experience.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with experience upselling and cross-selling.
