Planet Fitness is hiring for Sanitation Specialist

Maintaining the general cleanliness of the facility is the key responsibility of the Sanitation Specialist to provide a safe, hygienic, and enjoyable environment for Planet Fitness members and visitors through the night.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete the cleaning and sanitization process for restrooms, locker rooms, gym floors, and fitness equipment with attention to detail.
• Ensure locker rooms are stocked with essential items including paper products and soap.
• Inform the Club Manager immediately of any defective or missing features or devices like toilets, showers, or workout gear.
• Conform to the instructions specified in the Lost and Found Policy by delivering any found possessions to either the Club Manager or the Assistant Club Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Candidates with a background in custodial or janitorial duties are preferred.
• Being dependable, punctual, and willing to work during the night hours are key requirements for this role.
• Exhibiting a dedicated approach to tasks coupled with a foundation of honesty and ethical behavior.
• Exhibiting independence in tasks and the adeptness to resolve problems instantly.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor combined with impressive interpersonal capabilities.
• Those under 18 years old are not permitted to engage in this activity.
• Applicants must possess either a High School diploma or an approved GED alternative.

Physical Demands

• The ability to stand and walk without breaks is essential for this role.
• Repeatedly reaching out with hands, fingers, and arms.
• Occasional involvement in activities that require climbing, balancing, kneeling, or crouching.
• Capable of sporadically lifting items over 80 pounds in weight.
• Encounter with cleaning chemicals and products.
