As a Distribution Center Assistant in the Receiving team, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of products, helping maintain smooth warehouse operations and uphold high standards of product quality.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be tasked with accurately and promptly completing activities such as receiving, picking, pulling, labeling, and stocking purchase orders within designated timelines. You will operate powered equipment and support a range of warehouse functions to help achieve operational goals.

• Operate powered machinery (e.g., forklifts) to unload shipments and organize inventory

• Receive purchase orders, inspect for damage, and verify items against invoices or packing slips

• Select products from warehouse shelves according to specifications such as quantity, size, and color

• Pack and stage finalized orders for shipment

• Ensure the accuracy of picked items prior to delivery preparation

• Consistently achieve or exceed performance standards by completing tasks efficiently

• Support additional warehouse duties including picking, labeling, shipping, and delivery assistance as needed

Required Skills and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification

• 1-2 years of experience working in warehouse or distribution center settings

• Physical capability to work continuously, lift up to 40 pounds, and safely operate powered equipment

• Strong commitment to following safety procedures and correctly using personal protective equipment

• Ability to perform effectively in varied environments, including noisy or extreme temperature conditions

• Strong safety focus with the capacity to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with forklifts, reach trucks, or yard trucks

• Demonstrated attention to detail in fast-paced environments

• Proficiency in spatial reasoning to optimize product placement
