Role and Responsibilities
As a Sales Clerk at Lowe’s, you’ll be the last point of contact for shoppers, making sure their final experience in the store is smooth and positive. While your main responsibilities will be at the front register, you may occasionally support other departments to ensure efficient store operations.
Provide courteous, speedy, and accurate checkout service
Assist customers navigating the self-checkout area
Scan and bag items efficiently and correctly
Handle payments, refunds, and exchanges at the cash register
Respond to customer questions and help as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership
Required Skills and Experience
Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic
Ability to remain standing or seated for extended periods
Comfortable using computers and inputting data
Capable of lifting a minimum of 10 lbs alone, and over 15 lbs with or without accommodation
Must be willing to obtain any applicable retail certifications or licenses as required by state law
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in retail or customer service roles
Ability to communicate in multiple languages
Compensation and Benefits
Pay for this role is based on several factors including location, job responsibilities, previous experience, and qualifications. Most roles are structured around a 40-hour work week.
