Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide SMART customer service by assisting customers with locating, loading, and understanding products during delivery.
• Communicate delivery status and coordinate with customers and drivers as needed to ensure timely delivery.
• Plan delivery activities, pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks in accordance with DOT guidelines.
• Inspect, match, and verify products before and after loading/delivery for accuracy and condition.
• Unload, install, and test appliances and merchandise at delivery sites.
• Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in compliance with DOT and CDL regulations.
• Update route status using company systems (e.g., mobile applications).
• Identify and report security risks or suspicious activity (e.g., theft or shoplifting).
• Maintain clean and organized working areas, following all safety policies including proper use of equipment and adherence to housekeeping standards.
• Operate store equipment as needed, including Zebra phones, key cutters, panel saws, forklifts, and more.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Class A CDL – Required for operating multi-unit CMV (tractor trailer & flatbed) in applicable locations.
• Class B CDL – Required for operating single-unit CMV (tandem flatbed) in applicable locations; must include air brake endorsement.
• Valid medical certificate (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass MVR screening and adhere to DOT/CDL regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licenses or registrations if required by law.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience driving a semi-truck/trailer or graduation from a certified driving school.
• 6 months of in-home delivery or retail customer service experience.
• 3 months of experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading and unloading deliveries.
