Role and Responsibilities
This role involves accurately and timely performing tasks such as receiving, picking, pulling, labeling, and stocking purchase orders within designated deadlines. You will operate powered equipment and assist with various warehouse duties to support operational goals.
Operate powered equipment, such as forklifts, to unload shipments and organize inventory
Inspect received purchase orders for damages and verify items against invoices or packing lists
Select products from warehouse shelves based on specific criteria like quantity, size, and color
Pack and stage completed orders in preparation for shipment
Ensure the accuracy of picked items before staging for delivery
Consistently meet or surpass performance targets through efficient task completion
Assist with additional warehouse tasks including picking, labeling, shipping, and delivery support as necessary
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification
1-2 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center environments
Physical ability to work continuously, lift up to 40 pounds, and safely operate powered equipment
Strong commitment to safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment
Ability to perform well in various environments, including noisy or extreme temperature settings
Strong safety focus with capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with forklifts, reach trucks, or yard trucks
Demonstrated attention to detail in fast-paced environments
Ability to use spatial reasoning to efficiently organize product placement
