Role and Responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Associate, you’ll be the go-to resource for customers, offering knowledgeable advice and a welcoming attitude to help them with their home improvement needs.

  • Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner

  • Engage customers to understand their project requirements and guide them toward the right solutions

  • Explain product features, benefits, and handle sales transactions efficiently

  • Follow up with customers when needed and thank them for choosing Lowe’s

  • Stay informed about current promotions, special order capabilities, and financing options

  • Build expertise in your assigned department’s products and offerings

  • Recommend complementary products or services that support customer goals

  • Ensure product displays are well-stocked, clean, and accurately labeled

  • Participate in inventory counts, restocking, and pricing accuracy efforts

  • Comply with safety standards to ensure a secure shopping environment

  • Collaborate across departments to meet customer needs

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with teammates and leadership

Required Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • At least 6 months of retail, customer service, or sales experience is desirable

  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs (heavier loads with assistance)

  • Comfortable learning and using point-of-sale systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home improvement or relevant product knowledge

  • Bilingual communication skills, depending on local customer needs

  • Experience in a customer-focused or retail sales environment
