Role and Responsibilities
As a Logistics Associate, you will be essential in delivering excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate preparation of online and in-store pickup orders. Your key duties include:
Providing friendly and helpful support to customers and team members.
Selecting, organizing, and preparing products according to order details.
Inspecting items for damage and confirming order accuracy.
Carefully loading merchandise, including bulky or heavy items, into customer vehicles or delivery trucks.
Restocking shelves to keep inventory available and the store well-maintained.
Collaborating with delivery and installation teams to verify order specifics.
Safely operating power equipment following company guidelines.
Keeping work areas tidy and following inventory control procedures.
Travel Requirements
This role typically does not involve travel but may require occasional trips for training or meetings.
Required Skills and Experience
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
At least six months of experience with computer use for data entry or record keeping.
Comfort using mobile devices such as tablets or smartphones.
Ability to independently lift 25 pounds (heavier items may require assistance).
Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Eligibility to obtain any necessary licenses or registrations as mandated by local or state laws.
Preferred Qualifications
Six months of retail experience, preferably in a home improvement or hardware setting.
Experience in customer service or order fulfillment roles.
Familiarity with loading, unloading, or moving merchandise.
Certification and experience operating powered equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks (required within 30 days for Pro Department assignments).
