Lowe's is hiring for Merchandising Service Manager

Your Impact:
As a Merchandising Service Manager (MSM) at Lowe’s, you play a vital role in delivering a clean, safe, and well-stocked store that provides an outstanding shopping experience. You lead the merchandising service team to ensure accurate signage, pricing, and attractive displays that make merchandise easy to find. You coach and supervise your team, oversee resets and projects, coordinate with other departments, and adapt planograms and project plans to fit store needs.
What You Will Do:
Team Leadership
- Schedule and manage resources for the Merchandising Service team to execute projects efficiently.
- Guide Merchandising Service Associates (MSAs) on project priorities, scheduling, and needs.
- Deliver onboarding, training, coaching, and mentoring for MSAs.
- Create development plans and manage performance, including disciplinary actions in partnership with HR.
- Manage project/travel expenses and weekly payroll.
- Resolve project and store-level issues using available resources.
- Communicate project status and feedback to store teams, field leaders, and corporate.
- Identify and share merchandising and efficiency improvements across the district and enterprise.
Customer Service
- Deliver SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and assisting in product selection, location, and use.
- Provide knowledgeable and prompt responses to customer and employee questions.
- Communicate product, warranty, and special order information effectively.
- Support team members who directly help customers by providing necessary tools and resources.
In-stock and Merchandising
- Oversee that merchandise is stocked, fronted, and packed down per planograms.
- Confirm accuracy of signage, reorder stickers, pricing, and product information.
- Ensure completion of resets, displays, and bay integrity per Lowe’s standards.
- Collaborate with receiving departments to improve staging processes for reset products.
- Lead buyback item processing and shipping preparation.
- Coordinate with Merchandising Service Supervisor for materials and logistics.
Clean and Safe Stores
- Detect and report signs of theft or security risks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization following housekeeping standards.
- Ensure a safe work environment with safety reviews and hazard mitigation.
- Follow safety requirements for lifting, equipment use, and store safety protocols.
- Operate store equipment as needed (e.g., phones, paging, copiers, CCTV, key cutters).
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain point-of-sale signage and ensure bin locators and price changes are accurate and compliant with pricing policies.
- Lead green polo teams merchandising live goods in garden centers.
- Lead daily pricing functions and coordinate with night teams on project execution.
- Manage teams of 11-21 employees, staffing to authorized headcount.
- Oversee large third-party labor projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years customer service or retail experience in a fast-paced environment (or 1 year of Lowe’s store experience).
- 6 months experience leading or coaching others in an informal capacity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience including coaching, training, and evaluating performance.
- Merchandising experience including reading planograms and setting up/tearing down displays.
- Experience operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Willingness to work overnight and weekends as required.
- Working knowledge of basic hand tools (e.g., drills, saws).
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores may be necessary.
