What You Will Do:

As a Sales Specialist, Flooring, you are the go-to expert for flooring products and services at Lowe’s. You’ll guide customers through flooring solutions — from hardwood to vinyl, tile, and carpet — helping them find the right options for their project needs, lifestyle, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver SMART customer service by seeking out customers, understanding their project needs, and offering flooring product and installation solutions.
• Share detailed product knowledge including features, benefits, warranties, and financing options to help close sales.
• Create estimates, process orders, schedule installations, and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction and project completion.
• Coordinate with vendors and installers to ensure smooth delivery and install processes.
• Monitor inventory, maintain product displays, and ensure a clean, organized sales floor.
• Train and mentor department associates on flooring product knowledge and customer service practices.
• Work with other store departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in a customer-facing sales role or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience.
• Proven ability to meet/exceed sales goals.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the sales floor and lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in flooring sales or home improvement.
• Familiarity with Lowe’s sales tools and systems (e.g., M2O, Genesis).
• Experience in promoting installation services and protection plans.
• 1 year experience in a key-carrying role or training team members.
• Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• May be exposed to outdoor elements depending on store layout.
• Role requires standing, walking, lifting, and handling of materials and equipment.
