Role and Responsibilities
As a Retail Store Cart Attendant at Lowe’s, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment. Your responsibilities will include retrieving shopping carts, assisting customers with loading heavy items into their vehicles, and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout both the indoor and outdoor store areas.
Cart Retrieval and Organization: Collect carts from the parking lot and store premises, returning them to designated areas for easy access by customers.
Merchandise Loading: Assist customers in safely loading large or heavy items into their vehicles, providing courteous and professional support.
Customer Service: Welcome customers warmly, respond to their inquiries, and help them locate products or navigate the store as needed.
Store Maintenance: Keep entrances and cart storage areas clean and free of debris to promote a safe shopping atmosphere.
Inventory Assistance: Support store operations by restocking shelves and maintaining product displays when necessary.
Required Skills and Experience
At least six months of experience in retail, customer service, or a related field.
Comfortable using handheld devices and other store technology.
Able to lift 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or other physically demanding positions.
Familiarity with managing shopping carts, assisting customers, or merchandising tasks.
Basic understanding of material handling processes.
Compensation and Benefits
This position may be full-time (typically 39–40 hours per week) or part-time (up to 25 hours per week) depending on store needs. Availability for various shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends is required. Eligible associates have access to:
