Role and Responsibilities
As part of the Receiving department, your duties will include timely and accurate execution of tasks such as receiving, picking, pulling, labeling, and stocking purchase orders. You’ll use powered equipment and contribute to a range of warehouse functions to help meet daily operational targets.
Operate powered equipment (e.g., forklifts) to unload deliveries and organize stock
Check incoming purchase orders for damage and validate items against packing slips or invoices
Select items from storage shelves according to details like quantity, size, and color
Package and prepare finalized orders for outbound shipping
Double-check picked items to ensure order accuracy before staging for delivery
Consistently meet or exceed productivity standards by completing tasks with efficiency
Assist with other warehouse operations, including labeling, shipping, and delivery prep as required
Required Skills and Experience
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training
1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting
Ability to perform physical tasks continuously, lift up to 40 pounds, and operate powered equipment safely
Strong adherence to safety procedures and proper use of protective gear
Capable of working in diverse conditions such as high noise levels or extreme temperatures
Safety-conscious and able to work independently or with a team
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or yard trucks
Strong attention to detail, especially in fast-paced work environments
Ability to use spatial awareness to optimize storage and product placement
